About

The South Queensferry Singing Group for Dementia and Carers was established in December 2016 in partnership with South Queensferry District Dementia Friendly Initiative and Queensferry Care.

This Singing Group is held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month in South Queensferry Church Hall from 2pm – 3.30pm. We are not a choir. Our aim is to bring people together to sing songs in a fun, inclusive environment . We vary our songs each week but we aim to sing songs that are reflective of the age and diversity of the group. We start with traditional songs and then have a songs that are popular from the 50’s, 60s’ and also take requests. Apart from singing, we have time for tea and chat as well.
