About

We are a community singing group set up specifically to support people living with dementia. We sing together in a circle and our songleader teaches us songs, often in 2 or 3 part harmony. Some songs are familiar, many are new. We sing songs from around the world, Scottish songs, a bit of rock and roll, we love a bit of 1960s pop, a bit of crooning – we’re fairly eclectic! We believe that everyone can sing, and everyone is welcome. We are primarily set up to support people living in the community who are at the earlier-mid stages of dementia. Friends and supporters are very welcome. We are quite full just now, and ask that people get in touch before they come along to their first session so that we can have a blether, so that you know what to expect, and so that we can be ready to welcome you.
