About
Dovecot Singers is a health and wellbeing singing group for those living with dementia or other life-limiting conditions, or experiencing isolation or loneliness. The group is led by a qualified music therapist, with specialist training in Parkinson’s and breathing. The sessions start with a warm-up for memory, posture and breathing. The songs range from nonsense songs, sea shanties, 60s and 70s pop, to contemporary folk. There is an emphasis on learning new songs, rather than just singing “golden oldies”,
