About

We start informally with a cafe for 30 minutes then sing for an hour, the musicians lead the singing. Bill plays the piano and occasionally trombone and Hilary the fiddle. The lyrics are displayed on a screen (we can provide lyric sheets if requested). We encourage requests and celebrate birthdays, anniversaries etc and also happy for someone to do a solo spot. Hilary will often provide a musical interlude for people to enjoy some traditional music. The group is informal with emphasis on enjoying the music – you don’t have to sing if you just want to listen that’s fine. The music is a mixture of traditional, old favourites, musicals, popular music and we will accommodate specific requests. We tend to just sing in unison rather than parts or harmony so a singalong group rather than choir. Donation boxes rather than any charge to fund refreshments.
