About

The North West Edinburgh Singing Group is a warm, friendly group, for people with dementia accompanied by a carer or companion. New members are always welcome. We are a voluntary group established in 2018 to provide an opportunity for people to come together and to sing with the emphasis on enjoyment and fun.
We meet for refreshments and chat first, then form a circle to sing together enjoyably for just over an hour. Words are put up on a screen so its easy for everyone to follow. Sometimes there is an opportunity to dance or move to one of the songs and the group really enjoys the challenge of a round. Friends and family are always welcome.

We prefer people to get in touch before attending their first session if they can, but we appreciate this isn’t always possible. We particularly ask any visiting groups (e.g. care homes) to contact us before attending a session.
